Some teams back into the playoffs. The Lions just kicked down the door and flexed.
The Detroit Lions clinched their first playoff berth since 1999 in convincing fashion, jumping on the San Diego Chargers for 24 first-half points and finishing strongly as well.
The Detroit Lions looked like a different team on Saturday against the San Diego Chargers; they looked like the Lions that we watched play for the first two months of the season. Detroit didn’t have a good finish to November with a Ndamukong Suh suspension and critics, including myself, questioning the quality of gamesmanship occurring in the motor city.
Christmas came early at Ford Field. The Detroit Lions beat the San Diego Chargers and became the fourth NFC team to qualify for the playoffs.
The defense was playing the prevent all day long. One game after Greg Manusky came up with a brilliant gameplan, he comes out with that awful output!
