Jason Hanson to Blame for Ryan Donahue's Injury

Yes, the post title is admittedly harsh but there is some truth in it. Jason Hanson didn’t take part in kicking drills due to stitches in his knee. That forced punter Ryan Donahue into action and it was reportedly in those drills that he injured his quad. The ESPN NFC North blog adds on to a tweet from Dave Birkett:

Reportedly suffered while attempting field goals RT: @davebirkett: Lions P Ryan Donahue has a quad strain. Lions will work out punters today

Yesterday, the Lions brought Rhys Lloyd and Shayne Graham in for a look in case Hanson isn’t able to kick this weekend and now they have to work out punters today.

Do I need to remind you that the Lions face Devin Hester this week?

Donahue isn’t practicing today but there is some good news concerning Jason Hanson, he’s kicking today.
