With Detroit Lions Heading into Their Bye, Check out a Local High School

With the Lions on their bye week next weekend, may I make a suggestion for getting your football fix? Second round games will be taking place in the Michigan high school playoffs so look at the schedule and check out a game in your area. Even if you’re outside of Michigan there is likely to be a quality game in your area.

I made it out to the Plymouth Canton Educational Park last night to see the rematch between the Canton Chiefs and the Plymouth Wildcats. What transpired was one of the best high school football games I have ever attended. Plymouth used a couple big runs from Dante Fox to tie the game at 21 in the fourth quarter. The Chiefs worked their way down the field in the final minutes to position themselves for a field goal attempt as time expired. Kick up, kick good, Canton wins.

Here is a video of the field goal and reaction from the victorious Chiefs.
