Winter Weather To Hit Denver Ahead of Detroit Lions’ Arrival

The Lions have only had to worry about weather conditions in one game so far this year. That one game was in Tampa where game-time temperatures approached 90 degrees and players were bombarded with sunshine.

The Lions now head to Denver, a city that is receiving a lot of attention from The Weather Channel. I made a casual stop by Weather.com today and was greeted by a headline that reads “Winter Coming to Denver” accompanied by the following:

Record highs yesterday and a snowstorm tomorrow? It’s going to be a wild week in the Denver area as the winter weather invades.

Snow? Yep and potentially as much as a foot.

Fortunately, the forecast calls for snow on Wednesday and sunny skies the rest of the week. The isolated snow event shouldn’t cause any issues with the field and the game isn’t likely to be a dress rehearsal for the Lions’ trip to Lambeau in week 17. The ten day forecast currently calls for a high of 51 with partly cloudy conditions.
