Before I get to the picks for week seven, let’s take a quick look back at my picks for week six:
Detroit Lions (-4) vs. San Francisco 49ers – LOSS
Buffalo Bills (+3) at New York Giants – PUSH
Carolina Panthers (+4) at Atlanta Falcons – LOSS
Dallas Cowboys (+7) at New England Patriots – WIN
New York Jets (-7) vs. Miami Dolphins – WIN
If you took my picks and played for fun on Free Sports Bet by dividing the initial $1 evenly you know have a balance of $0.94. That is moving in the wrong direction, hopefully this week’s picks make up for a 2-2-1 week last week. Here we go with the Lions game and four others:
(note: point spreads shown are taken from Free Sports Bet at time this post was written and are subject to change)
Atlanta Falcons (+3.5) at Detroit Lions
The Falcons will be able to shorten the game if they can get a solid day on the ground from Michael Turner. Atlanta is playing better football of late, I’ll take the points in what will likely be a close game.
San Diego Chargers (-2) at New York Jets
With a betting line of two points I ask myself who will win this game. I don’t trust the Jets and while the Chargers can be headscratchers at times, they’re a lot closer to putting it all together.
Denver Broncos (+1.5) at Miami Dolphins
Tim Tebow takes over as the starting quarterback of the Broncos. He had the benefit of a bye week of preparation and will face a bad Miami Dolphins team in his debut. Tebow has given the team a spark in the past and there will be a lot of Tebow supporters in the south Florida crowd.
Green Bay Packers (-8.5) at Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings will start a rookie at quarterback while the Packers will start Aaron Rodgers. 8.5 points is a lot for a road team to give but I like the number here.
Baltimore Ravens (-7.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars
Blaine Gabbert should have a hard time with the Baltimore Defense.
