Some Detroit Lions Change Jersey Numbers Now that Roster is Settled

Brandon Pettigrew wore number 87 while at Okalahoma State but spent his first two professional seasons wearing 84. The team announced that Pettigrew has decided go back to wear number 87 this season. The good news for Lions fans with a “Pettigrew 84″ jersey is the right to claim the purchase was made before ‘Grew really became known as one of the league’s best tight ends. Have to find the bright side, right?

The other number changes are at linebacker where Doug Hogue and Justin Durant are switching numbers. Durant will get the number 52 jersey, the number he wore at Hampton, while Hogue will wear the number 57 jersey that Durant had occupied during training camp. Durant wore number 56 as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Waiver-wire pick-ups Keiland Williams and Jacques McClendon will wear number 34 and 63 respectively.
