SideLion Report Saturday Second Serving

I hope you find time to read this site every day but I know busy schedules means that probably isn’t realistic. As a matter of convenience for finding some of SLR’s best content from the past week, enjoy the SideLion Report Saturday Second Serving. Consider this the editor’s picks of the week.

Monday: The Detroit media was rocked by the sudden death of longtime beat writer Tom “Killer” Kowalski. Killer had a style all his own and leaves a giant hole in Detroit Lions coverage.

Tuesday: It is just preseason play, but Matthew Stafford has been great and Eli Manning has been bad.

Wednesday: Nate took a quick look around the NFL and noted that the Lions are finally looking like a professional organization.

Thursday: The preseason beat the Bills 16-6, I put together a few thoughts from the first half and second half.

Friday: The Lions finished the preseason 4-0 for the first time since following up their last such feat with an 0-16 season. What does that mean for this year? Nothing, stupid.
