Titus Young to Start for Detroit Lions, Eight Players Inactive Against Buffalo

Nate Burleson opened a would from an elbow procedure he had a few weeks back and is being held out of action due to the risk of infection. The Lions have announced that Titus Young will get the start in his place.

Kyle Vanden Bosch will also be inactive tonight, Lawrence Jackson will take his place in the starting lineup.

In all, eight players have been ruled out for tonight’s game. They are:

  • WR Nate Burleson
  • CB Alphonso Smith
  • RB Maurice Morris
  • CB Anthony Madison
  • T Jason Fox
  • T Johnny Culbreath
  • DE Kyle Vanden Bosch
  • DT Nick Fairley

[Update: Nathan Vasher will also be inactive. His name was added after the initial list was released although no reason was given. This is not good news for a guy battling for a roster spot.]

I’ll be hosing a live blog during the game tonight so be sure to stop in to chat whether you are watching the game or not!
