Detroit Lions Required Reading: Rashied Davis

It is easy for fans to lose a name like Rashied Davis in the shuffle when a name like Stephen Tulloch is in the mix. Of all the players the Lions have brought in through free agency there probably isn’t one that resulted in a bigger disparity between how the move is regarded by fans versus the coaching staff than Rashied Davis.

Special teamer and wide receiver depth, no big deal, right? Wrong.

ESPN NFC North blogger Kevin Seifert put up an excellent piece today that chronicles Davis’ path to the NFL and how Jim Schwartz came to respect him when preparing for a game in 2008 between the Bears and Titans. I normally leave links post for the morning Scanning the Savanna but this is one article I had to mention sooner.
