The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with a former member of the Chicago Bears. Chicago Sun-Times columnist Sean Jensen broke the news on twitter:
WR Rashied Davis, who had a couple options, has agreed to terms with the Detroit #Lions
With Bryant Johnson having already been informed of his release, the Lions had an opening at the fourth wide receiver position and it looks like Davis will get a shot at it. I can’t imagine this is good news for Derrick Williams.
One member of the Pro Football Writer’s of America thinks the Lions may be looking for another wide receiver in addition to Rashied Davis. Michael Schottey tweeted the following:
Don’t think Lions are done at WR either…still want another big body
Rashied Davis effectively bridges gap from Williams to Titus Young…still need someone to replace BJohnson
