Matt Millen Will Not be in Detroit for Monday Night Football

The return of the Detroit Lions to Monday Night Football meant a possible reunion with disgraced former front office executive Matt Millen. The man who systematically dismantled the Detroit Lions resumed his broadcasting career upon his dismissal from the team, a career that included work on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

Don’t worry Lions fans, Matt Millen will not be in Detroit on October 10 when the Lions host the Chicago Bears on MNF. Lions beat writer put it this way on twitter:

By the way, is it common knowledge that Matt Millen is no longer part of the Monday Night crew and will NOT be at Ford Field on Oct. 10?

To answer Killer’s question, no I don’t believe it is common knowledge but I’ll happily do my part to ensure that changes. Some fans may have been looking forward to “welcoming” Millen back to Ford Field but I see this news as a good opportunity to rid him from our minds for good.
