Video: Vancouver Provides Example of How Not to Act When the Detroit Lions Finally Reach the Super Bowl

The Detroit Lions really will make it to a Super Bowl some day. While many believe Detroit is ready to erupt when that happens, the word “erupt” is meant in a more figurative sense than the way it would be used to describe the scene in Vancouver last night.

Detroiters were not exactly on their best behavior following the Tigers’ 1984 World Championship and the city has failed to shed the rioter label despite a number of championships and championship game appearances from teams in Michigan that resulted in little more than a few pieces of flaming furniture in East Lansing.

Here’s to hoping that when the Lions finally do make the Super Bowl the story will be on the players, not some idiots causing trouble in the streets.
