On Friday, June 3, the 3rd Annual Gridiron Greats Hall of Fame Induction Dinner will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. Among those being honored for their careers and for giving back to the community will be Gale Sayers, Dick LeBeau, Mike Ditka, Desmond Howard, Anthony Carter, Herman Moore and former Clawson High School and Michigan standout Jon Jansen, who played for the Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions.
The third-year Lions head coach feels good about his team and is in no way trying to discourage fans, but he’s just offering a simple glimpse of reality.
“We’re not where we need to be yet,” Schwartz said on The Huge Show. “We haven’t accomplished a whole lot other than winning those last four games. But (that’s) probably a lot more so than has been here, for at least the recent past.”
Zac Snyder got hooked on the Lions after his dad took him to a Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Raiders in 1990. The show put on by Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson that night was only surpassed by what Zac could do with Barry in a game of Tecmo Super Bowl.
