You hit one of the key facts regarding the NFL and the Lockout. The owners do not rely on their income from the teams to survive. It is a vanity pastime for them. But being the egotistical, ultra competitive businessmen that they are, they need to inspire some kind of conflict for them to win at. Versus the Fans? No, too easy to befuddle and beatdown. Now the players, and unionized ones to boot. That's more up their alley. This is how the owners get known. They would be nobodies outside their industry if they did not own an NFL team. Who would have known George Steinbrenner if he did not own the Yankees.

Unfortunately for us fans, the owners don't care about the game, just making money from it and a name for themselves. The players for the most part are people like us that have a mortgage to meet and have almost no job security.

I know who I am pulling for.

the "regular guy" doesn't make millions per year, let alone hundreds of thousands. forget about the players, coaches and owners. not one of them is hurting right. what about the people that work for companies like aramark, (spelling?) pepsi, or frito-lay? (also pepsi lol) these are the people that will be hurting. there's alot more than that too. the wealthy are the problem with this world. they make crappy business deals, get mad, become a politician, then use their financial and political powers to make war through religious propaganda. and the goal? to get even more wealthy. it's the same old game it's always been for thousands of years. i'll bet you didn't know that george washington was the richest man in america. yeah, before he was the first president. even then, it wasn't about the regular guy. it was about the rich men that didn't wanna be taxed by the king. they used propaganda to turn the blind against their economic enemies. 1200 billionaires? just kill'em all along with anyone that has over 20mil
