"3 years from being super bowl contenders", where do u get that? Detroit would of easily eion 9 games last year if stafford was healthy so using common sense they will only improve. Detroit has an as good a chance as anybody 2 make the super bowl and they WILL make the playoffs THIS SEASON

With the acquisition of Nick Fairley, the Lions will have arguably the best D-Line in the league. All we need now is 1 starting linebacker and 1 starting DB to make our defense top 3 in the league. This is serious bate to attract free agents like Nnamdi Asomugha. I don't think the chance of him coming to Detroit is remote at all. One Offensive lineman at right guard and you have a running game to compliment an already successful passing game. Add some positive play calling and execution and you have the makings for a championship team. I know it sounds hard to believe, but the LIONS are finally on the right course. Jim Schwartz is doing a great job and deserves our respect for his and this franchises accomplishments.
