Detroit Lions NFL Draft Countdown: 25 Days

Join us each day as we count down towards the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. The countdown runs from 50 to zero and the number of days remaining will inspire the post for that day. Think of this as your NFL draft paper chain that loses one link each day!

With 25 days remaining until the first round of the 2011 NFL draft it should be pointed out that the Lions turned the ball over 25 times last season. The significance isn’t in the number 25 itself as it is when compared to the 29 turnovers the defense forced. Last season was the first positive turnover differential since the 2005 season when they were a plus one. You have to go back another year to find a season where they were at least the plus four they finished with in 2010. Progress!

Players drafted number 25 overall by the Detroit Lions:
Jim Minor (1948), Gene Gedman (1953), Jim Neal (1954), Jerry Rush (1965)
