Before the start of his second NFL season, and with an owner’s lockout far on the horizon, Detroit Lions linebacker Zack Follett received what turned out to be very good financial advice.
“My agent told me last year to take this thing seriously,” Follett told Action News. “And I’ve kind of planned it to do that. And it’s paying off so far.”
I realized while watching all of those hitches and screens that my mental database on Burleson is fragmented. When Burleson left the Vikings for the Seahawks as part of the “poison pill” series of signings, then had an 18-catch season, I stopped paying serious attention to him.
Well, this isn’t exactly what you want to see about 24 hours from the deadline to reach a new collective bargaining agreement: a verbal slap fight between the National Football League and the players union.
