Fans don’t really care about the Pro Bowl. What they really care about is the players from their team getting the recognition that comes along with being named to a Pro Bowl roster.
Ndamukong Suh has received that recognition but we won’t get a chance to see him on the field one last time this year due to his recent shoulder surgery. The timing wasn’t a result of neglecting the fans who voted him into his starting spot for the NFC squad. Suh explains the decision in a press release statement:
I truly wanted to play in the Pro Bowl, which is a great honor and opportunity. It came down to making a decision to play in the Pro Bowl or to have surgery as soon as possible and begin rehab in order to help my team next year achieve our goals of getting into the playoffs and competing for a championship. The organization and I opted to have the surgery now and not wait. I will always put my team first.
The first step towards beginning a successful rehab is a successful surgery.
Good news, we can check that step off the list.
SUHccessful surgery. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes!!
Get well soon, Suh. We would much rather see you wearing the Honolulu Blue than the NFC Blue.
