Detroit Lions Draft Slot Almost Set, NFL Announces Playoff Schedule

The Lions win today ensures they will pick outside of the top ten, something younger fans might have a hard time comprehending. The final slot will be determined by the outcome of tonight’s Rams-Seahawks game. John Niyo of the Detroit News tweets:

So if you’re a Lions fan, root for Seahawks. You’ll pick 13th, not 14th, if they win.

Pro Football Talk takes a quick look at the top six:

After Sunday’s results, we have a highly unofficial look at the top six picks. Here goes:

1. Carolina (2-14)
2. Denver (4-12)
3. Buffalo (4-12)
4. Cincinnati (4-12)
5. Arizona (5-11)
6. Cleveland (5-11)

The Lions won’t be playing beyond today but that doesn’t mean that NFL football will be vacant from televisions across the metropolitan Detroit area and at the homes of Detroit Lions fans everywhere.

The New Orleans Saints will travel to the NFC Champion to start off the second season at 4 p.m. next Saturday.
