Injured Detroit Lions Slowly Working Their Way Back Ahead of Bucs Game

The Lions list of players that did not practice was cut in half from yesterday. The bad news is that Gosder Cherilus is no longer counted as a non-participant because he was put on the injured list. The good news is that Chris Houston has gotten over his illness and Cliff Avril was able to at least participate on a limited basis.

Vinny Ciurciu, Landon Johnson and Matthew Stafford are the only three active players that were not able to practice in any capacity today.

Like Avril, Jahvid Best, Shaun Hill, Turk McBride and Maurice Morris practiced but in a limited capacity. Hill is working his way back from a finger injury but no decision has been made whether he or Drew Stanton will get the start in Tampa.

DeAndre Levy joined Chris Houston as named on the injured list but able to fully participate in practice.

The injury situation is far better for the Buccaneers. Kellen Winslow returned to practice after missing it on Wednesday. Receiver Mike Williams is the only other player named on the report and he has practiced without restrictions all week.
