I spent a good part of last week digging into some numbers to try to find proof for or against the opinion that the Lions are making progress despite what their record may indicate (read this and this if you missed it).

I tried to remain unbiased and let the data make the conclusions rather than interjecting my own opinion. My time for impartiality is over: This Lions team is vastly improved.

]]> Well, that was fun, wasn’t it?

It wasn’t very pretty, but the Lions clawed their way to a win over Green Bay for the first time in ten tries. I’m going to forgo the traditional offense/defense/special teams game balls and just hand them out to the guys that I thought had a standout game regardless of which side of the ball they play.

It’s definitely a lot more fun to give out game balls in a win. Let’s do more of this.
