The real NFL draft may be more than four months away but the likes of Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay have helped make it a year round process.
As such, there is no shortage of mock drafts floating around the internet. While the credibility of any one mock draft could be up for debate, any statistician will tell you that we can get rid of some of the “bad data” by introducing a sufficiently large data set. That is what the following mock draft database attempts to do:

According to NLFmocks.com, the Lions would hold the fourth overall pick if the season ended today.
It is pretty clear that most mock drafters see the cornerback position as the primary need most likely to be addressed at the top of the 2011 first round. Most see Patrick Peterson as the to rated corner while some still believe Prince Amukamara deserves that distinction.
