Five Detroit Lions Miss Practice to Start Short Week

The Lions held more of a walk-through than a practice today but five men were held out despite the light workload.

Jahvid Best’s turf toe kept him sidelined, Jason Hanson was missing from practice due to his right knee injury, Tony Scheffler was listed as a non-participant because of a shoulder injury rather than the rib injury he sustained in Dallas, Matthew Stafford’s right shoulder is still not ready for action, and Corey Williams became the third Lion to miss because of a shoulder problem.

Cliff Avril did not play against the Cowboys due to a quadricep injury but he returned to the field in limited action today. Isaiah Ekejiuba and Dylan Gandy were also limited participants.

Shaun Hill’s quadricep and DeAndre Levy’s groin landed their names on the initial injury report but both were able to full participate in today’s festivities.
