The Dallas Morning News writer Rick Gosselin chatted with fans on Thursday and answered questions about the Cowboys as they prepare to play the Detroit Lions. Here are some highlights:
We’ve mentioned once or twice (or more often) in the past our amazement with the fact that former Lions G.M. Matt Millen has managed to finagle not one nor two but three jobs in the media after getting pay raises and contract extensions while he was gleefully steering the franchise into icebergs.

The Detroit Lions started hosting Thanksgiving football games in 1934 and have played a home game on that day every season since 1945. But in recent years, there’s been a movement at times to take Thanksgiving games away from Detroit and give them to cities with better football teams — mostly so we can all actually enjoy a good game while we stuff our faces and avoid our relatives.

5. Detroit Lions- Derek Sherrod OT Mississippi State- The Lions need a couple pieces before they begin to compete. OT is the biggest in my opinion. Sherrod gets the nod here because of his high level of playing ability and demeanor on the field. He just likes to play football.
