WR – Calvin Johnson – Calvin was the only Lion to have a great fantasy game last week against the Bills. Over 100 yards and at least one TD has become the norm for CJ, and I’m A-OK with that. He’s making plays, but the team needs someone else to step up as well.
QB – Shaun Hill – He wasn’t bad in his return from injury, but he wasn’t great either. Definitely not sharp. I wouldn’t look to Hill as an option for this upcoming week unless you’re in a big bind.
RB – Jahvid Best- He hasn’t had a good fantasy day in several weeks. The Lions have struggled in the run game all year, and recently Best’s receiving yards have dried up. It seems like it’s been eons since he’s seen the end zone. The right play is to probably sit him out until the Lions prove they’re not incompetant on the ground.
WR – Nate Burleson – Burleson’s been a good part of the offense, but he’s not been a reliable fantasy options. He might have a great day–you never know–but he won’t give you the consistent points you need out of the WR position.
TE – Brandon Pettigrew – He might still be a fringe canditate for your starting TE spot, but he’s not going to come up with big games regularly. He might run into a TD here or there, but he’s not usually a main red zone option. That’s CJ.
Calvin Johnson has quickly become a pretty good buy. He’s been hot lately, and another good game will net you some nifty profits.
It might be time to sell off your Jahvid Best shares, if you’re still hanging on to him. He hasn’t done much lately, and his E/P isn’t high enough to warrant holding him based solely on hope of a big game.
