2. The Lions need cheerleaders

I’ve never been one to agree with fans that think official team sanctioned cheerleaders on the sideline somehow add anything to the game experience. The Lions are one of just six NFL teams to not have team cheerleaders but it may be time to join the majority.

How will having cheerleaders at home games help the team on the road? Simple, the team obviously struggles on the road due to the distraction of all those pretty ladies in opposing stadiums. Finding some to wear Honolulu blue and silver at Ford Field will help to remove the novelty so it isn’t an issue on the road.

While I am convinced this is a sounds strategy, I would be remiss to point out that the Green Bay Packers are another of the six NFL franchises without cheerleaders. Even so, the Lions haven’t had much success in the state of Wisconsin. Perhaps talent has something to do with it, too.
