After four weeks, only four NFL teams remain winless. All four 0-4 teams play at home on Sunday. The Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers are heavy favorites, while the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills are slight underdogs. Last week, I was perfect picking the games with undefeated teams, so this week I’m on to a new challenge picking which winless teams will win in week five and which ones will fall to 0-5.
Detroit might be winless again at 0-4, one of four to share that dubious distinction, but look at how the Lions have played.
The winless Detroit Lions have the best chance yet — maybe their best chance all season — of earning a victory on Sunday when the St. Louis Rams come to town.
For a non-divisional game pitting teams with only two victories between them, St. Louis vs. Detroit is far more intriguing than it might appear at first glance.
It’s a matchup of clubs following almost identical rebuilding plans and with reason to believe that they’re headed in the right direction.
