Lions Sign G Rob Sims to 4-Year Extension

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Detroit Lions have agreed to a 4 year extension with starting Left Guard Rob Sims.

Rob Sims signs a four-year extension with Lions, per a league source.

This is great news as Sim’s one year contract ended at the end of this season, which meant that the Lions would’ve been out looking for a new left guard for the third straight season. At 27, Rob Sims still has plenty left in the tank and can anchor the left guard position for the next four years or so.

Finally some stability at a position where there has been none. Also nice to get this done so early.
