Lions Nearing Sellout, Granted Extension From NFL

Tom “Killer” Kowalski broke the news that the potential blackout of the Lions game against the Rams should be lifted. The team has about 2,500 tickets remaining, down from 4,500 a day ago, and has received an extension from the NFL. The remaining tickets must be sold by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow to avoid a blackout, however the Lions have never been blacked-out after receiving an extension.

Fox is sending the team of Ron Pitts and John Lynch to cover the game, a broadcast team that reflects the matchup. Pitts and Lynch form the network’s number seven (out of seven) team. Hey, we already knew this wasn’t a marquee matchup.
