Lions need to sell 4500 tickets to avoid blackout

According to Detroit News, the Lions need to sell 4500 tickets by 1 pm tomorrow to avoid a regional TV blackout. As always, the Lions could receive an extension on the deadline if they get close to selling the 4500 tickets.

The Lions have approximately 4,500 tickets available for Sunday’s home game against the Rams at Ford Field and must sell them all by 1 p.m. Thursday to avoid a potential blackout of the game on TV. There is, however, a chance the Lions could receive an extension Thursday by the NFL to sell the remaining seats and avoid a blackout.
