The Morning Fix

After an 0-3 start and a conservative first-half decision in Week 3 versus the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions head coach has come under fire from fans and media. On the verge of setting a record for the worst start by a Lions coach after 20 games, is the honeymoon already over for Schwartz?

Defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham said cornerbacks don’t receive enough credit or compensation for how much pressure they face.

If it’s up to him, Detroit Lions tailback Jahvid Best will play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Best has a grade 2 turf toe injury and missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he told reporters that he plans to practice Friday and that “it’s looking like I’ll be ready to go this week.”

The past 10 weeks have been something of a nightmare for Detroit Lions rookie Amari Spievey. A third-round draft pick out of Iowa, Spievey spent almost all of training camp in two plays: the cornerback position and the doghouse.
