The Morning Fix

The Detroit Lions needed a lot to go right for them to have success this season.

So far, everything has gone wrong.

The Minnesota Vikings got their first win of the season on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, but that doesn’t mean Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams is in a good mood this week.

The Montreal Alouettes wasted no time in signing defensive end Chima Ihekwoaba this month when he was released by the Detroit Lions.

“Montreal is a great organization,” said Ihekwoaba still sporting his Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks jacket and who has only been in Montreal for the past two weeks. “They [Alouettes] have embraced me and took me under their wing.”

The well-designed play unfolded perfectly. Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan strategically mapped it out to get big yardage against the Minnesota Vikings, and speedy Jahvid Best was about to catch a pass with acres of open running room in front of him.
