A loss on Sunday would mark a 2-18 start to coach Jim Schwartz’s tenure in Detroit, which would be the worst for any coach in team history.

Former Detroit Lions player and coach Don Doll has died at the age of 84. The team said he died last Wednesday at his home in San Juan Capistrano, California.

The Detroit Lions were supposed to be an offensive powerhouse with all the new weapons.

An 18.7-point scoring average that ranks 18th in the NFL is an improvement, but the offense has been nearly invisible in the second half.

This is the same Eric Hipple who played quarterback in the 1980s for the Detroit Lions. He also Outreach Coordinator for the University of Michigan Depression Center, where he specializes in suicide prevention and helping families and friends of people who have committed suicide.
