Finally Lions fans, some good news.
It appears that Jahvid Best will be able to play this Sunday as long as he can deal with some discomfort. The sprain of his big toe is not a significant injury but could be bothersome. Look for news over the course of the week about Best’s participation in practice. If he can go in practice he will surely go in the game. Problems getting through practice means it will be wait and see for Sunday’s game in Green Bay.
Matthew Stafford had some good news of his own today. Stafford used a radio interview to announce that he will begin throwing this week. There is no indication that he will play this week but the face that he will begin to throw is definitely a positive. I wouldn’t blame the Lions for holding Stafford out another week to avoid the hard hitting Packers defense and then bring him back for their home game against the St. Louis Rams in week five.
Keep your chins up.
