Bay Area product Jahvid Best is fittingly off to a fast start as a Detroit Lions rookie running back. He has an NFL-leading five touchdowns through two games, including three touchdowns and 232 all-purpose yards in Sunday’s 35-32 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Lions are coming off a game in which they scored 32 points against the Eagles, while the Vikings, who averaged 30 points per game during the 2009 regular season, have put a combined 19 points on the scoreboard in losses to New Orleans and Miami.
Zac Snyder got hooked on the Lions after his dad took him to a Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Raiders in 1990. The show put on by Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson that night was only surpassed by what Zac could do with Barry in a game of Tecmo Super Bowl.
