Lions Home Opener Will Be Televised Locally

With less than 2,000 tickets remaining prior to yesterday’s blackout deadline, the NFL granted the Lions a 24-hour extension. In keeping with tradition, the extension wasn’t wasted and the Lions were able to sell the remaining tickets ahead of the new deadline of 1 p.m. today. Fans within the blackout area will be able to watch the game from the comfort of their own home.

Some tickets are still available for purchase because the Eagles returned a portion of their allotment.
