Lions-Browns Blacked Out in Metro Detroit, But We’ve Got You Covered

According to Freep.com, the Lions did not sell out the required number of seats before the blackout deadline. Consequently, the game will not be televised live in the metro Detroit area.

Even some of those outside of the blackout area won’t have the luxury of watching the Lions take on the Browns live. The Lions Grand Rapids preseason affiliate (WXMI) currently lists the broadcast time as 7:00, instead of 5:00 in order to show the MLB game of the week in it’s entirety. Fans outside of the blackout area can watch the game live on NFL Network as long as their cable or dish package includes it.

We will have our usual post-game coverage up later tonight so beware of the spoiler potential if you’re looking to catch the game on tape delay without the knowledge of what went down. Join us throughout the night to post your thoughts and comments if you don’t mind watching the game with results. This is a choose your own adventure, Lions style.
