		<description>Looking at the depth chart it becomes clear that the Lions are improving at several areas, O-line included. It seems guys like Ramirez and Gandy would have been forced to play a larger role in years past (Ramirez started 12 games last year), and there&#039;s no way a guy like Jansen would have had to battle for a starting spot.

This looks to be the case across the offense as well. Previously &quot;role players&quot; were forced into starting roles, and borderline NFL players played key backup roles. Now, the roster seems to be at least filling up with NFL caliber talent.</description>
