The Detroit Lions have signed defensive tackle and number two overall draft pick Ndamukong Suh to a five year deal worth $60 million dollars with $40 million in guarantees. An additional $8 million is possible through incentives.

The guaranteed money is $1.7 million less than the amount guaranteed to quarterback Matthew Stafford in the six year deal he signed as the top pick in the 2009 draft. Fellow defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, the third overall pick in this year’s draft, will receive $35 million dollars guaranteed in his five year deal.
