The Lions and running back Jahvid Best have agreed to terms on a contract.

The five year, $9.8 million deal will ensure that Best hits the field on time with the rest of his new teammates.

The Lions will now put all their attention on wrapping up a contract with defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Those negotiations will likely hinge on the Rams progress with number one overall pick Sam Bradford. The Rams hope to have their top pick signed by the time they begin practice at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon.
