Just 2 Days remain until the first practice of training camp and Lions fans are waiting with bated breath for news that the Lions and Ndamukong Suh, the number 2 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, have reached a contractual agreement.
The wait appears to be on for at least a few more days but there isn’t any reason for concern just yet. Reports out of St. Louis indicate that the Rams and Sam Bradford are not far off in their contract negotiations. With the likelihood of a lengthy holdout from the draft’s number one pick unlikely, we can be reasonably sure that Ndamukong Suh won’t miss more than a few days of camp.
The other player on contract watch is Jahvid Best, Lions first round draft pick number 2. Expect Best to hit the field in time for the first practice with the rest of his new teammates. Neither side stands to gain anything by reaching an agreement prior to the last minute.
