Latest Signing Brings Special Teams Help

Brad Biggs of the National Football Post is reporting that the Lions have signed linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba. The Oakland Raiders released Ekejiuba earlier this month despite being named a Pro Bowl alternate as a special teamer in 2008.

While the Lions may never give him the opportunity on defense, there will be plenty of chances to help a special teams unit that ranked near the bottom last year.

The Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns had also expressed interest in acquiring Isaiah Ekejiuba.
