Amari Spievey Becomes Third Rookie to Agree to Terms

It took a while but it appears the Detroit Lions are making progress on signing their draft picks.

Cornerback Amari Spievey, the Lions third-round draft pick, have reportedly come to an agreement that should be signed in the next 24 hours. The former Iowa Hawkeye’s performance in practice has him pushing for a starting spot this fall opposite the former Falcon, Chris Houston.

Fourth-round pick Jason Fox, an offensive tackle from Miami (FL), was the first to sign followed by seventh-round pick Willie Young from NC State.

First-round picks Ndamukong and Jahvid Best along with seventh-round pick Tim Toone remain unsigned.

they’ll fall in line, they always do.

I definitely agree. It is refreshing to hear Ndamukong Suh say that being in camp on time is a priority; he just needs to make sure his agent knows who is boss in the situation.
