I can’t argue with our placement, it’s a terrible franchise. Our glory days were spent languishing in the middle of the pack with a fabulous highlight reel running back in Barry Sanders who spent his tenure impressing us with his skills on an often piss poor team and the one time it all came together, it culminated in a single (and the franchises only post expansion) play off win.
Coming into Sunday I expect a win. I also expect a win against the hapless Browns.
The Rams and Browns truly suck. We should be able [...]

Top Ten Most GHOULISHLY FRIGHTENING Sports Franchises? Chronicles of Scott Has The Lions At…
BLACK OUT
yet another.
with a whopping 10,000 seats at large for the 1 and 5 vs the 0 and 6 rams, the Detroit Lions game will not make it’s way onto TV locally.
We’ve had quite a few, and to let it boggle your mind further, that 10,000 does not count the Club level seats. Brutal.
It’s a bye-week, Jay is right, there is a little bit of a hangover and so here is your bloody mary my brothers and we’ll even throw in a beer chaser!
I didn’t bother with NFC north news, Bears got hammered by the Bengals and OchoCinco is still my favorite receiver and the Vikings finally lost one off of the hands of Taylor. Hilarious that the Vikings lose their first game because of a turnover and it wasn’t Brett Favre’s fault. Packers did something. Screw them. I hate those guys.
So I chat with John White. He is not only and outstanding [...]
If Detroit loses to St. Louis on Sunday, every Lions fan can officially scrap the 2009 season and look forward with miserable anticipation to 2010. The following roster evaluation is a primer for what the Lions have to work with heading into the 2010 campaign.
The foundation players are guys that we absolutely must have back for 2010. These are the guys that we have to rely on to get to the playoffs next year. Yeah, playoffs! I’m a Lions fan, what did you expect?
The stick around guys will probably make an appearance next year. Either because they are under contract [...]
from espn.com:
Authorities say New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards has been charged with misdemeanor assault for punching a man outside a Cleveland nightclub.
Cleveland city prosecutor Victor Perez filed the charge Monday. It carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
An arraignment hearing was scheduled for Nov. 17 in Cleveland Municipal Court.
Patrick D’Angelo, an attorney for Edwards, says his client will enter a plea of not guilty.
Edwards is accused of punching promoter Edward Givens, a friend of NBA star LeBron James, following an argument Oct. 5. Two days later, the Browns traded Edwards to the [...]
So What Did You Do All Day?
I’m butthurt from the Michigan State game last night, so I moped around all day and watched Fox NFC coverage.
It’s strange that there is nothing really to hard focus on so I just lazed around and enjoyed it. Watched the Vikings finally fall, they were even going to march down the field and win it until Taylor bobbled the ball.
Lord that has to be a rough ride home for him… a seasoned pro like that.
We’re still going to do a pod cast, I don’t have a guest yet but we’ll see how it all goes.
Difficult game to talk about… first shut out since 2001.
In any event, I call for the dismantling of the Culpepper defense force. That’s over, we’re not getting a playoff berth, we’re no where near a wild card, stop wasting time on Culpepper.
Amber and I discuss all kinds of stuff such as the MSU and U of M games, the state of the Red Wings and some of the other really great games this week like the Pats wailing on the Titans and the Saints beating the Giants. We wander all over the place because do you really want to go [...]
The Lions haven’t won in Lambeau in like 17 years.
People have sired children in the early 90’s, and right now that kid is looking at colleges and the Lions have not won one in Green Bay in that kids lifetime.
There is a bitter combination of Lions banged up and not being that good to begin with and the Packers coming off of a weeks rest and throttling in that homefield advantage.
At least we didn’t look as bad as the Titans? That’s all I’ve got.
Oh, and Culpepper sucks.
You heard me Culpepper defense force, he sucks and you [...]
At the very least the Stafford Pick.
yeah, I didn’t like the QB first overall thing. BUT…
The Lions are starting to look like the smartest guys in the room. The Texas vs Okie matchup really highlighted this.
Colt looks … mediocre at best. Unless he picks his season up by its boot straps, he’s gone from a top 5 pick to a 2nd rounder in my mind. And as for Bradford?
Two Words:
China Doll
If college tackles can break him, pro tackles will crush him to pieces.
Bottom line is that I felt these two guys were the front runners to be the NFL [...]
Big huge welcome to my new co-host Amber Huyghe
This one became a pretty long one, clocking in at 45 minutes
Amber gives you the run down of NFC North happenings, we chat about the Sunday and Monday Night games and why winter totally sucks.
Steelers Blogger Chris from NicePickCowher.com interview starts at about 8 1/2 minutes, we talk about everything really, we discuss Culpepper’s performance, Pittsburg’s questionable road performance streak, the future of the Detroit Lions franchise, Mendenhall and his likeness to a freight train and like a million other things. (seriously, did you see the size of that guys arms?!?!?)
OH! We [...]
