The Vick experiment was like watching the premiere episode of your favorite TV show. It’s thrilling for the first few minutes, then it cools down, and finally you end up slightly disappointed. I was working so I didn’t get to sit down and pick the game apart, I did however watch Stafford make a mess of himself.
It was a pretty disastrous outing, aside from the sack to recovered fumble I didn’t see much to give me hope for the new season.
We’ll get in depth on it later, I’ve got my DVR set to record the replay (NFL Network, 10am I think if you’re an early bird reading this) and I’ll skim it and really try to soak this in.

this was blacked out. In lieu of what? The channel 62 abortion with that obnoxious douche Desmond Howard. YOU HAD ONE GAME. *ONE* GAME, THAT’S ALL YOU’RE WORTH. YOU CASHED IN WITH A MEDIOCRE CONTRACT WITH A DESPERATE LIONS TEAM AND YOU DID NOTHING SPECIAL.

So every year we get a new Madden Football.
Madden is under consistent criticism from the gaming community for year in and year out being merely a ‘Roster Update’.
Sometimes, it’s true. The first 3 years for the franchise on the Xbox 360 were positively unbearable. NCAA committed this crime in the 2008 and 2009 iterations. I know I felt burned when I popped in NCAA 2009 and it was a carbon copy of the game I paid $60 for the year prior.
