the chiefs getting cassel for a 2nd rounder means one of two things:

it's a present from the Pats to their guy Pioli, kind of a thank you for all of your hard work, Brady is good to go so we're set for a few more years,

OR

Cassel isn't all that and a bag of donuts and the Pats know that he's just a product of their system.

can i say again that the chiefs got cassel and mike vrabel for the Chiefs second-round pick (34th overall)? thanks for posting my comment. i appreciate it...but the QB trade value is low this year. if the broncos wouldnt agree to 33 (maybe throw in stop-gap guy like Culpepper), then 20 would definitely get him. they could package the 20 and 12 or 33 and 12 (whichever), and move in for stafford or sanchez (i hate sanchez as a prospect but thats another time). the odds of a number one draft choice being traded arent good (eli's crying and teh Vick for LT trade are the only recent ones i know of), so sending a later pick makes more sense to me.

I agree, the Lions must do whatever it takes to get Cutler before it's too late. I don't see the Lions using that first overall pick on Stafford unless if they're trading it. OT is the number one priority and swapping our 1st with the Broncos 12th along with Cutler will take care of both those needs. We can still get Andre Smith or Michael Oher at 12 and both are pretty solid or if BJ Raji falls to 12 then we pick him up and draft one of the 2nd tier OTs with the 20th pick.

Either way, this is a win win situation for the Lions as long as they don't go crazy and give up most of their picks because they need every one of them.

Word on Espn was Denver is starting to realize if they trade Cutler chances are pretty high they might not get a real QB in return and my just ride it out with Simms. Unless the Browns give up Anderson or QUinn but why would they trade Cutler to a team in their on conference? I heard us, TB, and Min are the main NFC teams interseted or atleast high on the list. Culpepper 1st pick in draft or if they don't want to pay first pick money 20th and 33rd pick in the draft I think the Lions could out bid teams it just comes down to how creative the Lions can get to me.

so you are saying Detroit has to get Denver interested in Stafford? Did Denver even send a major management member to Georgia's pro day?
