    If they are going to change the uniforms, I say wear the throwbacks full time, but put the Leaping Lion on the helmet.  Perfect.

    I think we should go with white helmets, classic lions logo, and go very plain, simple, and clean.  I would even darken up the blue a few shades similar to the thanksgiving color.  I’ve always loved white helmets though.  But I’m not sure how that would work with the rest of the unis.  So they probably would stay with silver.  No stripe or anything radical, something clean looking with a simple logo.  I would do the pants a solid color also, no stripes or anything, similar to the ravens with only the new logo on the hip and solid socks with black shoes.

    Get rid of   the black..go back to traditional Lions uniforms..Keep the Leaping Leo on the helmet..Guy on national radio begged Ford family no to monkey with unis..only good thing – and Thanksgiving we have going on.

    i think that the lions shoud keep leo on a silver  helmet but  make it a little tougher looking mabey in an attack stance,  also the uniforms should be the throwblacks they are classics and like a great pair of jeans they never go out of style!!

    I believe if your going to change the outlook of the detroit lions, then you gottta change both the logo and uniforms with a past, i’m sorry the past is the past and i don’t believe in using classic designs maybe only on thanksgiving, The lions should have a logo of a roaring fierce lion head and the jerseys somewhat follow designs of the arizona cards and atlanta falcons.

    I agree with Chad, the Lions should follow what the  Falcons and Cardinals did and make the Lion much meaner and give it a tougher look. The colors are good but I would add more black and white and not so much silver.

    The logo should change, and maybe even the colors, but no more black and white to many teams are use that scheme already…..

    I agree the logo should change i personally think its a ginkz, but stay away from black and white to the uniforms, to many teams are doing it already.

    Zelley man, I’ve been boycotting spending a penny on anything Lions related since I was a freshman in high school.  If they switched to your design, I’d be the first in line for a Megatron jersey.  Great work!

    Hey here’s a suggestion about changing the logo and uniforms…. Well why don’t the Lions look no further than the winningest team in Detroit the Red Wings and change the colors to red & white or possibly use the scarlet and white look from 1950. If not a permanent change, maybe use it as another alternate jersey. it works good for the Red Wings so hey, why not right??

    I like the way the seahawks darkened up the unis a few years back and dressed it up with a neon green.  Whoever designs the changes should incorporate some honolulu blue, maybe keep it as an accent color like the seahawks, but definitley search the color board and darken up the primary color.  I like what Zelley is doing but the logo reminds me a bit too much of japanese cartoons or something or Voltron even.   The symbol should remain simple and timeless.  What is popular now may not be popular down the road.  Remember when tribal tatoos were popular? –  they are lame now.   Leave crap like that out.  I know it is difficult to mesh the old with the new however.   Good luck to whoever takes on this daunt.

    CHANGE NOTHING- THE UNI’S ARE THE ONLY GOOD THING WE HAVE AROUND HERE OTHER THAN CALVIN JOHNSON- THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE NFL- YOU CANT POLISH A TURD ANYWAY- HOW DID THEY UNI CHANGE WORK OUT FOR THE PISTONS A FEW YEARS BACK? THEY ENDED UP CHANGING BACK BASICALLY

    I like Zelly’s basic idea, but it looks great… for a college football team.

    It looks too cartoony/mascot-ish for a pro team.   Millionaires will be wearing these things.  (I hate the dolphins logo for the same reason)

    I also agree with the simple two-color no-stripes uniform idea too. Detroit is as blue-collar working-man type of city as them come. the team should reflect that.  Take a cue from the Tigers and the Red Wings.

    How about this color combo: ivory on eggshell with white trim. The alternate colors would be ebony on onyx with black trim. Of course these make no sense….which is why they would perfectly embody the Lions. I am certain the players would appreciate the anonimity these uniforms would provide. While we are at, why not also change “Lions” to “Lyings”. That way when someone asks a player what  he (or she) does, he (or she) could truthfully answer, “I’m a Lying.”
