trade the #1 over all for a lower #1 and a package of draft picks. draft D and O line with 2 #1s and spot players on D with extra picks. draft another RB in maybe the 4th rnd. you have orvlosky, kitna, as a seasoned vet, and you still have stanton???? you guys have the perfect chance to build you future on this one draft, with 2 #1s and the over all #1. but if you want a slew of draft picks it would be wise to dump the #1 OVERALL for a lower #1 and a bunch of lower to mid round picks. this would really increase your talent pool fast and give you a lot of young talent for years down the road.

The Lions need to draft where it counts, in the trenches. Orlovsky will do fine if he has some guys to block for him. I just don't think we should waste our draft picks on another QB. I mean If we actully went after good free agents instead of the usual C-list ones ( i.e. Paris Lenon, Chuck Darby, and countless others) we could get away with drafting a quarterback.

Great article. Agree completely....and unless you were joking (which would actually be a good one) I assume you mean Matt Cassel not Sam Cassell? They are both good Boston boys after all...
