That little glimmer of hope is gone… Williams’ Suspension WithheldDet

Detnews.com

A Minnesota judge has blocked the NFL’s suspension of Vikings stars Kevin and Pat Williams for violating the league’s anti-doping policy.

Hennepin County District Judge Gary Larson issued a temporary restraining order at the players’ request on Wednesday, saying he wanted more time to hear arguments in the case. No further hearing date immediately was set.

The Williamses were among six players suspended for four games for testing positive for a diuretic that can be used as a masking agent for steroids. They have argued that the substance containing the diuretic didn’t list all its ingredients.

So we thought that maybe perchance we could kinda sorta move the ball on the ground with the Vikings star defensive linemen suspended… but no! They will be with the team and ready to chew up our offensive line and gobble up Kevin Smith like Pac-mans.

In QB news, Culpepper gets the start and Orlovsky is still hurt, telling the press that his hand injury has affected his ability to control the ball on release. So he’s out and Culpepper will try yet again to finish a game and play like a guy that didn’t just walk onto the team a couple weeks ago. No word on Drew Stanton, he’s still feeling the effects of a concussion.
