It Gets Harder and Harder To Blog About This Team
I mean really, they give you NOTHING.
How much can you rail against the worst team in the history of football, right? How much can I complain? How much can I lament and cajole?
So here we are after another interesting season, the Colts are not in the drivers seat as everyone had anticipated, the Bucc’s are in line to take their division and the Vikings just took a hold of the NFC north. Did you watch the Sunday Night Football game? One win or loss can decide the whole thing at this point… for three teams. They flashed the actual records and it was like 6-6/7 across the board until you got to the bottom… 0-12. The Detroit Lions.
0-12. The season was over about eight weeks ago and still we have to flog this beast to try to get some wind out of it. And I’m tired.
Culpepper? Whatever. Henson? Laugh. Out. Loud. Stanton? Can’t stay healthy, I don’t know about his career in this league. And I’m biased for him, I want him to succeed. But its ugly. A season of ugly.
We must put that in our pipe and smoke up. Ugly Ugly non competitive football and piss poor efforts by our squad. Embarrassing, in fact so embarrassing that its not embarrassing anymore. I sat in on a live blog during the Jags game and we just started talking about video games and I was lapping up all the sympathy from JAGUAR fans, amidst there disappointing season. Every single fan in the NFL says “well… at least we don’t have the Lions”. It’s a joke.
There is nothing left to wail against. They suck. K? Terrible. I’m embittered now, I want all the staff there when we go to Green Bay. I want them there and I want Millen there. He made this baby and its graduation day, the culmination of his career as the Lions become the worst team in history.
Even if the Lions win a game, will you really think they earned it or the other team tuned out and laid an egg? When you’re 0-12, your credibility is non-existent. It’s not even a real football team.
